'Buhari, Osinbajo and Top Politicians will Take Covid 19 Vaccines' Says Shuaib.


The Head of National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Faisal Shuaib says President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo will be among the first to take the Pfizer/BioNTech approved Covid-19 vaccines after arrival in Nigeria by the nd of January 2021.

He mentioned this during weekly briefing of the PTF at the Nigerian capital that around 100,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine will arrive in the country and mainly health workers at the frontline for the fight against Covid 19 including previous workers and political leaders in country will be the first vaccinated citizens in Nigeria.

Aside the president,Mr Shuaib mentioned that the political leaders including Secretary to the  government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha needs to take the vaccine to ensure the creation of  public awareness.

He  furtherly explained, that politicians should be the first to take the vaccines inorder  to safe all strategic leaders not to be wiped out by Covid 19.

He also mentioned that (NAFDAC), needs to certify the vaccine before administration to Nigerians. The PTF Chairman, Boss Mustapha also confirmed that Covid cases increase faster on daily basis in the country.
