VIOLENCE IN KWARA STATE, CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS DISAGREE ON HIJAB.
New violence emanates,Christian and Muslim threw stones at each other in Kwara State. According to sources, It has been backed up by the government that " Female Muslim students in the State have the right to use Hijab in all its schools" this decision which has made a stairway for physical attacks between the Christians and Muslims in Kwara state.
The government of Kwara State funding the missionary schools as well as managing and structuring the staffing activities since 1970s was said to have revealed his support to second Kwara State Muslims enforcement of Hijab usage by their female students in schools. This was vididly highlighted when Kwara State government ordered some schools closed earlier for sometime to reopen also allow female Muslim students to use Hijab irrespective of the religious history and foundation of the schools in the state, without waiting for the court of law to decide if it is acceptable by Christians and the whole state.
Earlier was a media circulation that some Muslim members were moving around to whip female students ,compulsorily leisured them to put on Hijab by force. This earlier caused a lot of crisis and legal suit while some schools were closed.
Christians reacted that the government and Muslims should await the decision of Law Court than enforcing it themselves.
Christians said they are clamouring to avoid their children being easily attacked by some Islamic terrorists and undeplomatic Jihadists often disturbing Nigeria in the North and some other part of the country.
